This car began life in early 1986 and was supplied by local to us Lancasters Porsche in Norwich.

Most of us would identify the original car as a Supersport, which it was later titled in 87-89, back in 86 to get the "turbo look" you actually had to order a 3.2 carrera with "Sport equipment" - this included turbo suspension and brakes and the wonderful wider body.

Between 1984 and 1987 just 34 UK RHD Coupes were delivered with this sport option and just 127 UK cars in total including all Targa and Cabriolets

What makes this car even rarer is that its believed to be the only one ordered in D4D4 Pastel beige and came with equally period brown leatherette seats.

Recoil bumpers, electric passenger side mirror, Blaupunkt Toronto radio/cassette, central locking system, rear wiper, electric left front seat, cruise control, sport equipment, a top tinted windscreen and a sun shine roof.

The car comes with a very decent history file showing continuous care and attention and many old MOT's to verify its "considered" low mileage.

Back in 2012 it underwent a bold and brave transformation by its latest custodian, with a clear vision of what he wanted "a slate grey 2.8 rsr evocation"
Marque specialists Pro9 were enlisted to carry out a comprehensive job to include many new and now vastly more expensive parts.

The body was stripped and fitted with new genuine bonnet and steel wings, steel turbo arches, correct front slam panel welded in and rsr spec fibreglass bumpers and ductail. Many other items were sourced and renewed including new old stock headlamps, and now hard to find original pop-out rear windows.
New lamps and lenses were fitted all round, the door handles and window frames were all triple chromed and numerous door window and scuttle seals replaced.

To finish the look and add some extra style, spaced out 17 inch Replica Fuchs wheels were installed along with some rather stand-out Italian sports seats and a more modern audio system. We are certain he had a smile on his face when collecting his totally transformed car.
