Picked up a beautiful 1999 Carrera 4 recently and it is my first 911. The car needed some service and some large maintenance items to be done. I did not have a independent garage in mind to do the repairs and my neighbour turned me onto Charlies garage William Francis. I can't thank Charlie & Nick enough for the work they have done to my car and sorting it out. It went from a leaky, bad IMS/RMS, trans leaking derelict 996 to an amazing driving, running and handling car. It is mechanically sorted and running fantastic! Charlie really knows his craft and really works with folks on a strategic plan to get the car sorted out while making a comfortable plan of attack to do so. This garage and their staff will give the shirt off their backs for customers and it shows! I will continue to have my 911 serviced/worked on by Charlie and is team for years to come! You will not find a better garage! 10 out of 10 recommend!

I cannot praise Charlie and the team at William Francis Specialist cars. Highly enough. I was in the market for used Cayman and Charlie delivered the exact specification of vehicle that I wanted. His attention to detail, knowledge and preparation is 2nd to none having spent six months looking at the market reviewing vehicles I was also lucky enough to test drive to Cars back to back to give me a direct comparison over which vehicle would suit my requirements. We finally settled on a superb white 2015. Cayman and I can say, only one week in, that I am delighted with the vehicle, its condition and preparation, and know that I have formed a long lasting partnership with Charlie. I shall use him again in the future. I have no doubt as to the pedigree of the car and Charlie’s integrity in presenting these cars as best as possible. Charlie and the team have been looking after my car for a couple of years now and I have to say I would recommend them without hesitation. The team follow the standards set by Charlie and for me have two invaluable qualities. Firstly, a genuine passion for engineering detail so I'm confident everything is done correctly to the smallest element even if that involves tackling jobs which are a pain. I know when it comes back from the team everything is as it should be, they treat the car as if it was their own!
Which brings me to the second quality - trust! I know I can confidently hand the car to Charlie and the team with certainty they will do the right thing, charge a fair price and be open and honest along the way. When Charlie lets me know they've spotted some advisories whilst doing something else, I always get a clear view of what might need doing, an honest recommendation of if it's needed NOW or should be fine for a couple of thousand miles and could be included in the next planned service.
Given the honesty, skills and attention to detail when the car goes to them I have no hesitation in telling Charlie's team to just go ahead with whatever needs doing on the basis of “would you have the work done if it was your car” 😊.
Not the cheapest, not the most expensive but frankly the skills and trust I have in the team for me is priceless.

After seeking advice of where to get work done on my Porsche I was recommended this company, surprisingly I have heard and know of the background of the company so I booked my car in to have work done on the suspension. Being a 4x4 Porsche this work was never going to be straight forward. This week I have had previous bad experiences from main dealers who hide behind the showroom doors thinking they know what's best. With this week's experience I can assure you that main dealers only know how to pay for the expensive overheads and the cars that sit on the front forecourt losing money every day, the only way main dealers can keep their head above water is by charging for work that doesn't need doing to all their customers. I know this to be true and was caught by this by Bury st Edmund's Range Rover. I dropped the car in to this company and got it back today with an invoice a fraction of the cost of a Porsche main dealer, I would strongly recommend this company for prestige car repairs. And will be using their services in the future. Job well done, very happy customer.

I find them hugely knowledgeable and interested in every aspect of my vehicle's wellbeing so that I'm very confident the work performed on it is to a very high standard, but with the attention to fine detail of a true enthusiast and not simply someone doing a reasonable job. Highly recommended. OK, so the coffee may not be quite as good as in an Official Porsche Centre - but the smile that comes with it is way more genuine! I'll be back, time and again.

Helped me find my first 911 997 Carrera 4s and for a small fee went to London to view it for me. Worth every penny as his advice helped my negotiation on the eventual purchase price. Since then Charlie has completed an MOT, service, new discs and pads at very reasonable prices. Also got to the bottom of a minor rattle over bumps at low speed that another specialist couldn’t fix. Wouldn’t let me leave without the correct wiper blade when he noticed it wasn’t sitting right! A true perfectionist and extremely knowledgable. Can arrange car collecting and return. Just had my 2001 S serviced by Charlie and can’t recommend William Francis Porsche highly enough. This is my first Porsche and Charlie guided me through the entire car showing me the good and the things to watch out for. No fixed price servicing worried me but turns out many items on my Boxster were still in very good order and didn’t need changing on this service. Very knowledge, nice bloke and I will defiantly be back in the future.

Charlie has a sound understanding of all things Porsche. From start to finish the fitment of a new clutch and flywheel on my 911 997 was painless with progress given throughout the entire job. I even got pictures which were great to see as the old clutch friction plate was toast. We discussed the service history of the car where he gave me his advice as to what the next service will entail. Needless to say, il be taking it to him for the work. If you have a Porsche and live in Suffolk I would highly recommend William Francis.
