Cared for by its owner for 22 years, this 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe SE has always received very special attention. Its exterior is termed by Porsche as 'Granite Green' (looks granite except in very bright sunlight when it takes on a very subtle hint of green), complemented by an interior of grey-green leatherette with white pin stripe seat inlays. Although the term green is used for both interior and exterior, neither could really be described as green in any way (the photographs are pretty accurate to the colour by eye) - and the condition is outstandingly good. The car’s two service books (it has always been looked after by Porsche main dealers or specialists, latterly William Francis) and MOT's confirm its 79,000 mile history. It has had three previous owners.
Purchased by its present owner at 45,000 miles in May 2000, in 2009 it was subjected to a cautionary, thorough bodywork and structure health check, by highly respected Essex specialist Clark and Carter, details of which are available.
The 3.2’s equipment includes a sunroof, limited-slip differential, sports seats, forged alloys, original Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 cassette radio with hi-fi pack (with original operating instructions), tool roll and original space saver spare wheel with compressor. The luggage compartment is trimmed in black velour carpet. Cabin carpeting is original and in very good condition. A Momo steering wheel is fitted but the original is available. The car’s original guide to Porsche ownership, original vehicle handbook, original Porsche Service Centres handbook, plus late 1980s brochures, are included.
The car is kept in a de-humidified, wooden building and has wanted for nothing during the present ownership. Reason for sale is age – definitely not the car’s but the former owner’s (his words not ours!)
The Carrera has a Certificate of Authenticity dated July 2015.
