The 3.2 Carrera continues its career as one of the most recognised and iconic of 911 silhouettes, screaming 80’s vibes yet still able to perform well in today’s fast-paced world and still able to keep up with modern traffic. They have been forward dated to look like 964’s, backdated like 70’s cars and even been part of the latest craze of being outlawed or restomodded. The reality for most is that nothing beats an original, especially in a rarer colour like we have here and coupled to the much improved G50 Gearbox.
The Diamond Blue hue was actually chosen to be “the” colour for all of the 875 limited commemorative edition cars, celebrating the 250000th 911 to roll off the production line, these cars also gained colour coded wheel centres, Silver/Blue metallic leather and rear Carrera script delete among other subtle details. These cars were all 1988 Model years, we wonder if a standard 3.2 such as this was even rarer in this beautiful shade.
First delivered on the 10th of December 1987 through JCT600 in Leeds, this is an 88 Model year car as denoted by the 10th digit of the chassis number, in this case a J.

In current ownership since 2013 it has clearly led a sheltered and cherished life, the service book is full of 22 stamped records and then supporting invoices for work thereafter, in 2012 the car was treated to a full repaint with photos on file and the seats and door cards retrimmed in black leather with fashionable diamond stitching, this replaced the former pinstripe cloth originally specified.
It has very recently just had a new speed sensor and battery installed and we will of course be checking the car over carefully before it leaves us, carrying out any additional work required ensuring it is ready for many more years of enjoyment. We have full workshop and detailing facilities and can display the car on a ramp for total peace of mind.
